First Donations
This weekend we received our first donations from very loving friends and family! We are so grateful and excited for your willingness to sacrifice to make a difference in the lives of these beautiful people.
Rising Star Volunteer Meeting
We went to a Volunteer meeting this week to learn more about our time in India this summer. It was an incredible experience! We are so blessed to have what we have. The lives of the people in India can be blessed so much by our efforts. A relatively small sacrifice on our part can make a great difference in multiple ways. Things we take for granted, like being able to read and write, can help these people provide for themselves in ways that will change the future of their children and grandchildren and so on.
Rising star does an incredible job at helping these people help themselves. Rising star focuses on teaching them self-respect, when the world has taught them they don't deserve any. They teach them to work and earn a living, and gives them the means to start. This is one thing we love about the work of Rising star. We don't just go out there to make a difference for a few weeks, we hope to make an impact that will last a lifetime.
Thank you so much for your support in our efforts! Together, we can make a difference. We really can! It touches our hearts that people with so much love have so little, yet will give you everything they can. We can't think of those beautiful kids without wanting to make a difference. Thank you for your sacrifice and desire to make a difference in their lives. You are great examples to us and have given us a desire to spend our lives looking for opportunities to give to others what Heavenly Father has given to us. Thank you!
